Last Open Scrimmage, Sunday Feb 19th

The Quadfathers will be hosting our last off-season co-ed open scrimmage on Sunday Feb 19th

We've had a great turn out for Dec 18th and Jan 22nd, and everyone has had a really fun time.

The next date will be run the same, with teams split depending on numbers. $5 per skater admission fee for skaters; refs and NSO's are free (and much appreciated!).

Sunday Feb 19th- arrive as early as 12, start warming up at 1pm, announcements and scrimmages start at 1:30. We can skate until 4pm. We usually do  3X 30 min periods with some open skating at the end.

All skaters who have passed WFTDA/MRDA minimum skills assessments are welcome to participate. All skaters must be comfortable in a co-ed scrimmage environment. Everyone needs one black and one white shirt with at least their player number on it. Our floor is Mateflex sports tile, very similar to SportCourt. The colder it is, the slicker our floor gets. We recommend hybrid/softer wheels.

It is just behind the train/hobby shop. When you pull in, please DO NOT PARK near the Train/Hobby shop. If we have the back parking lot open, pull in there. If not, please park along the outsides of the SportsPlx building and along the fence. Park other skaters in if you have to, we dont want anyone's cars to get towed.

The burrito place next door, Burrito Jonz,  has agreed to provide a number of dishes at $5 per meal prices for us afterwards. We will have menus available, or click the link to their website to see what they've got for specials etc

 Make your travel plans now! On Saturday and Sunday August 18th and 19th 2012, The Quadfathers will host "The Mohawk Valley Cup", the first ever regular season all-male MRDA Regulation roller derby tournament!
There's not even a women's expo bout- this is ALL male roller derby.

The event will be held at JFK Arena at 500 West Embargo St, Rome NY 13440.

It will feature 8 men's roller derby teams. Bouts will start at 9am both days, and each team is guaranteed 3 MRDA Regulation bouts.
Spectator tickets will be $10 per day or $17 for a weekend pass.
There will be trophies and medals for 1st-3rd place teams. The MVP and all tourny team awards will be sponsored by Atom Wheels.

The Tournament Head Referree for this event will be Miss Trial, and Tournament Head NSO will be Danger Prone Daphne. Officials interested in officiating this event can use the form here to apply.
