Until mid-late 2009, the team was a loose conglomeration of refs from CNYRD and various friends who could skate. Starting in mid 2009, WOO, grambo, Die-lon, Monster Assault, and Beastro began to travel to participate on compilation teams around the Northeast whenever the opportunity came up, and throughout the year our guys were lucky enough to travel and skate with members of CT Death Quads, Pioneer Valley Dirty Dozen, NY Shock Exchange, and Harm City Homicide and start networking to build our team.
By late 2009 The Quadfathers had a roster nearly capable of competing and began planning for the 2010 debut season.
In March 2010, Die-lon and grambo attended the Men's Derby Conference hosted by Pioneer Valley in Holyoke, MA and started to make arrangements for the 2010 season. They were also lucky enough to network at this amazing event with derby guys from all over the country, learn a ton about the sport, and sell the very first run of Quadfathers' now slightly infamous 'Think Outside The Box' tshirts.
